CopperTree authored rules are thoroughly tested and are available to you in our Community Library. These rules are based on industry standards and best practices, such NIST APAR, and ASHRAE guideline-36 and 90.1. Additionally, the Community Library holds over 3,000 pre-built rules made by other Kaizen users, which you can use as-is, or customize accordingly to your needs.
Yes! There are several savings metrics that can be applied to any Insight:
- Potential Savings projects how much money could be saved in a year, given the current weeks’ operation.
- Avoidable Cost is a running total of how much that fault has cost to date.
- Realized Savings are calculated after the issue has been fixed by comparing new operation with an established baseline of operation. Realized Savings require custom rules which can be included as part of our managed services offering.
Currently, we host with industry-leading cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. Several deployment options are also available to ensure compliance with your IT policies and procedures. Please contact [email protected] to learn more.
There is the potential to run a dedicated cloud instance or on-prem version of our solution. Please contact us at [email protected] and we’ll be in touch to discuss the details.
Our Engineering Services team provides a range of managed services, designed to fit the needs of your organization. Weekly, monthly, or quarterly meetings with our Building Application Engineers gets you up to speed with everything happening in your building.
CopperTree’s Building Application Engineers leverage the historical data in Kaizen’s Trend Log Viewer to deduce sequences of operation. Some examples of this include:
- CO2 high limits on mixed air damper control
- Supply air temperature resets
- Enthalpy control for economizers
- End-of-line pressure control for AHUs
Once the sequences of operation have been determined, our BAEs can look for unintended consequences of the current operation, and for opportunities to improve on the sequences in order to achieve energy savings and reduce wear and tear on equipment.
Using our K-Link data acquisition technology, CopperTree offers the most options for connection to proprietary BAS protocols, metering and other building systems. Contact our team if you need information on how to integrate with your various data sources
Not at all! Kaizen provides around 20 weather trend logs (like humidity, temperature etc.) for any location across the globe. Using the address of your building, Kaizen pulls in local weather data from nearby weather stations and uses that for analytics.
Kaizen will not make changes to your BAS directly. It only receives your data and provides you with the insights necessary to make improvements and find savings in your building.
Your building simply needs to have a BAS – we can integrate with both BACnet and non-BACnet sites! In addition, we can integrate to many other data sources in your portfolio, such as IoT sensors, and any other data which is available.
Some of our additional offerings include Automated System Optimization (ASO), Automated Commissioning (ACx), Energy Information System (EIS), Independent Data Layer (IDL), K-Audit, Advisory Services, etc. Kindly reach out to the CopperTree team if you would like any additional information about any of these offerings or have a browse through our website to learn more.
ASO and ACx are applicable to buildings of all sizes! CopperTree’s team will review your building and provide you with a list of all the measures that are applicable.
CopperTree developed “Kaizen Energy” as an industry-leading EIS platform that allows for metering/sub-metering, monitoring, multiple baseline comparisons as well as different portfolio views from various perspectives.
