About the Project: The Christchurch Outpatients Building, completed in 2018, is a five-storey, 10,500 m² facility designed to consolidate over 20 outpatient services under one roof. Located on the Christchurch Hospital campus, it supports around 1,000 patient visits daily and houses more than 300 staff. Designed by CCM Architects, Jacobs, and WSP, the building prioritizes patient experience with natural light, park views, intuitive layouts, and dedicated education spaces. Engineered for seismic resilience with advanced structural systems, it meets Importance Level 3 standards. The project was delivered under budget and has been recognized with multiple architecture awards for its innovative, patient-centered design.
