About the Project: Lakeridge Gardens is a new, state-of-the-art, six-storey long-term care home with 320 beds, built adjacent to the Ajax Pickering Hospital. As the first project completed under Ontario’s Accelerated Build Pilot Program, it was constructed in a remarkable 13 months to address the urgent need for long-term care capacity. The 275,000-square-foot facility features modern, infection-prevention-and-control-informed design, private and semi-private rooms, a nine-station dialysis unit, and numerous amenities like a landscaped courtyard and hair salon to enhance residents’ quality of life.
