About the Project:

The New Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a seven-story, 600,000-square-foot facility representing a major healthcare advancement for the western region of Newfoundland and Labrador. It features 164 private patient rooms, an expanded cancer care program with new radiation services, and is physically connected to an adjacent 145-bed long-term care home. A key feature is its sustainability, housing one of Canada’s largest geothermal heating and cooling systems in a healthcare project, significantly reducing its environmental footprint. The project’s on-time and on-budget completion showcases a highly successful public-private partnership.
